fab day

Had such a good time yesterday we didn't come home! Me and the kids decided to stay over at my sister's for a little mini-break!
What a fab day, and what a lovely wedding :-)

royal wedding

Tomorrow me and my chums and our kids are off to my sisters for the day....the kids will all play nicely and quietly together outside and we will watch the royal wedding and drink Pimms and lemonade in peace... I hope.....

We had a fab time in Majorca - despite the rubbish weather. (We didn't mind so much that it was cloudy and dull everyday with the odd shower....it was more the fact that Britain had the hottest, sunniest Easter since dinosaurs roamed the land that really annoyed us!)
My fave day was when we hired bikes and rode through lovely countryside to a beautiful little town for lunch...followed by a dip in the pool (kids, not me! It might have been freezing cold but my children ARE British and therefore it was essential that they had their daily dip!) ...then out to eat more deliciousness at a fab beachside restaurant.....I really didn't want to come home....

Need to recharge my batteries on holiday methinks...only 2 more sleeps!

slow down

I'm so sick of rushing from work to school to whatever after-school-thing we have that day to home to kids-bedtime to more work to bed ...knackered.
BUT the kids finish school and after-school-stuff today and I am hoping to stop rushing round so bloody much and just sit on my bum for a minute!
In fact I'm hoping to be as slow as the little man!

Checked in online tonight for our jaunt to Majorca, woohoo, can't wait :-)

Designed some new business cards for my other half and sent them off to moo.com....they were having a bit of a sale so I ordered myself some stickers while I was there! Sale ends today so hurry over and get some done too!

end of the rainbow...

Somebody at the little man's school stupidly decided that instead of giving the kids homework every week they'd do a "rainbow" of homework each half term...which means every half term he has seven pieces of homework to do, colouring in a bit of the rainbow for each one. 
Well, with Alf's reluctance to do any homework at all (he even hates colouring in the flipping rainbow!)... and my sheer fatigue at nagging him all the time, what this actually means is a complete nightmare the day before handing-in-day where we do all the nagging, all the moaning, all the crying and, eventually, all the homework in one night.
That night was tonight.
I'll just say one thing:
"Pass me the wine!"

here I go again....

Well clearly I wasn't as busy a couple of weeks ago as I am now 'cos I went and signed myself up for another competition!!! Omg what's wrong with me!
This one is for umbrella prints....I have to make as many lovely things as I can and put the photos on flickr... this time the fabric pieces are titchy, they are smaller than bits of fabric I usually throw away!

since my last post....

....I have in no particular order: worked....A LOT...been to a fake Christening with the little man's class...spent a happy half hour in a photo booth (yes it actually went really well this year!)...made something exciting for the KLTworks blog thing...had a fab day trip to Harewood House with my sis and our 3 boys (where we laughed so much we actually ran out of laughs)...been on a drunken night out with the mums from the big girl's class...done the annual Mothers Day shopping trip to Leeds with my Mum and my sis (where I bought loads of new clothes woohoo)...worked...A LOT MORE...and slept...just a bit...
