rain

Who ordered the bloody rain?
We're meant to be going to a beer festival this aft.
Outside.
In the heatwave.
Which has suddenly done a runner.

old and knackered

It was our niece's 18th birthday party this weekend.
We went away for an alcohol fuelled wedding weekend last week.
The week before was another friend's wedding.
My liver is knackered, I have bags under my eyes and I've put on 3 stone.

mum's taxi services

I've just completed the final school run ...until September.
I now have a summer in the company of two teenagers to look forward to. Without the company obvs. Cos it will mostly involve them staying in their rooms and the only conversations we'll have will be me telling them to get out of bloody bed NOW.
And them asking what there is to eat.
And the lifts of course.
Don't forget Mum's Taxi Services are always available and always free of charge when you need a lift.
Happy summer!

all the time in the world

With the kids breaking up this week and just 4 weeks to go before we jet off on our jollies I am beginning to feel a little panic stricken at the To Do list.
This happens every year of course.
I annoy the hell out of everyone with my stressing and moaning and promise to be super organised next time.
It's never gonna happen.

Meanwhile I drew this whilst away on a rather fabulous weekend in the Isle of Man with the other half. Child free. With all the time in the world. While he was watching the World Cup Final. Which was bloody dull.

it's coming home

I'm generally not a football fan. It bores my pants off. I try to watch it but find my mind drifting to more interesting matters. Like doing the Tesco online order. Or wondering how I'm gonna pick two kids up from two different locations at the same time a week on Wednesday. Sometimes I realise that I don't actually know which way our team are playing but it's nearly half time so it's too late to ask.

But the World Cup. Different. I like football in the World Cup. Especially when it's in the pub. Which is where we'll be tonight.

COME ON ENGLAND!

summer lovin'

The 987 days that comprised the longest winter ever invented are a distant memory at the mo. We're having the longest continuous spell of sunshine since the Dark Ages and I bloody love it. All those sweaty moaners complaining that it's toooo hot better stay out of my way.

Monday 9 July 2018

milking it

As if it wasn't bad enough being woken at 4.30 every morning by the sodding birds having a rave outside the window, I have also discovered that some of our neighbours have their milk delivered. I know this because the loudest milkman in Yorkshire arrives every morning just as I'm falling back to sleep. He's obviously really annoyed at being the only one up and so makes it his mission to have people join him.
I'd be chasing him down the bloody street if I could be arsed getting out of bed. Which I can't. Obvs.

june 18

Well June was bloody rammed. Not sure how I managed to actually do any personal work at all....I've been juggling loads of stuff including a massive sticker book project for a fab French publisher...but here's what I managed in one easy to understand picture...
